The supermarket chain Hannaford recently suffered a serious data breach in which millions of credit card numbers were exposed. The security consultants who supplied Hannaford with an “enterprise vulnerability management solution”, Rapid7, got caught trying to erase all references to Hannaford from their web site.

Sounds like the folks at Rapid7 missed class the day we learned that trying to erase information from the Internet is futile. That may have been the same day we covered the absurdity of the phrase “enterprise solution”.
