Neil Berkett, CEO of digital TV and broadband ISP Virgin Media, is quoted in Royal Television Society’s Television magazine saying, “this net neutrality thing is a load of b****cks“. Who’s bright idea was it to let this guy near the reigns of an ISP?
Net Neutrality is the concept of requiring Internet Service Providers to refrain from discriminating between the various content that flows into customers’ homes through their networks. Net Neutrality opponents want to charge digital content providers fees in order to deliver their content to customers at faster speeds than competitors, placing anyone doesn’t pay in “the bus lane”, according to Berkett.
