“How to remove noise with Audacity” from podcast information site Podpedia.net shows you how to clean up your audio tracks with the popular open source audio software Audacity. “Noise” is annoying, unwanted noise in the background of your audio — Audacity is able to remove it by analyzing a section of your recording that contains only the unwanted noise, then using that data to smooth out the rest of the file.

The “Toggle Keys” feature in Vista makes a noise whenever you press the caps lock key. Apparently there is a huge outcry from gamers over the DRM that Electronic Arts built into its latest game, Spore. The game’s digital rights management scheme limits the gamers to three installs, and requires online activation — the same kind of online activation that would have left MSN Music and Yahoo! Music customers out in the cold after those companies decided to shut down their licensing servers.
